Le 14 octobre 2018, vous m’avez élu comme Conseiller communal à Saint-Josse afin de défendre vos intérêts pour les prochaines années. Dès lors, je viens vous faire part de la manière dont je conduis mon mandat.
En effet, mes interpellations régulières au conseil communal se sont concentrées sur les mesures prises, au niveau local, face à cette pandémie du coronavirus qui provoque des répercussions économiques et sociales sur la population.
La Commune de Saint-Josse a pris de très nombreuses mesures en faveur des habitants dans le cadre de son plan d’urgence et de lutte notamment l’aide sociale devenue automatique au niveau du CPAS; les courses pharmaceutiques et alimentaires pour les personnes fragilisées; la distribution de masques de protection en tissu à tous les habitants; les colis pour les personnes démunies; 500 PC recyclés pour lutter contre la fracture numérique ou encore les aides financières pour les commerçants et les locataires communaux.
Mon ambition est de demeurer à votre disposition pour relayer vos préoccupations au sein du Conseil Communal et de surmonter ensemble ces moments difficiles.

Op 14 oktober 2018 koos u mij als gemeenteraadslid in Sint-Joost om uw belangen voor de komende jaren te verdedigen. Daarom kom ik met u delen hoe ik mijn mandaat uitvoer.
Mijn regelmatige interpellaties aan de gemeenteraad waren inderdaad gericht op de maatregelen die op lokaal niveau werden genomen in het licht van deze coronaviruspandemie die economische en sociale gevolgen heeft voor de bevolking.
De gemeente Sint-Joost heeft tal van maatregelen genomen ten gunste van de inwoners in het kader van haar nood- en strijdplan, met name de sociale bijstand die automatisch is geworden op het niveau van het OCMW; farmaceutische producten en levensmiddelen voor kwetsbare mensen; uitreiking van maskers van beschermende stof aan alle bewoners; pakketten voor de armen; 500 gerecyclede pc’s om de digitale kloof te bestrijden of financiële steun voor handelaars en gemeentelijke huurders.
Het is mijn ambitie om tot uw beschikking te blijven om uw zorgen over te brengen binnen de Gemeenschappelijke Raad en om deze moeilijke momenten samen te overwinnen.

Dear friends,
On October 14, 2018, you elected me as Municipal Councilor in Saint-Josse to advance your interests for the next five years. Therefore, I come here to share with you some of the output on how I conduct my mandate.
Indeed, I regularly raise some of the most acute points of concern to the municipal council which focus on the measures taken, at the local level, to face the coronavirus pandemic which has been causing significant economic and social impact on our communities.
The Municipality of Saint-Josse has taken several measures in favor of the communities as part of its emergency response plan and the fight against isolation, most notably, social assistance now has become automatic at the CPAS level; food and medicine parcels are procured for vulnerable people; distribution of protective fabric masks to all residents; food parcels for the poorest; 500 PCs have been recycled to bridge the digital divide, financial aid for small businesses and tenants in need have been provided.
I strive to remain at your service to make your concerns heard within the Municipal Council and we shall overcome these difficult times together.
