Health Journalist (paid internship) – EURACTIV

EURACTIV is the leading EU policy media present in 13 European countries. It publishes EU news free of charge and facilitates debates for EU policy professionals in 12 languages. With 2.3 million page views and 783.986 unique visitors per month, EURACTIV is a leading online media on EU affairs. The group gathers approximately 100 people around Brussels and its network of national affiliates. It has four main sources of income: sponsorship, communication package memberships, advertising and public contracts.

We are now looking for a young and motivated Journalist (Intern)

To join our dynamic team in Brussels covering a variety of topics related to mostly to health.

Tasks include:

  • Monitoring media and EU policy announcements
  • Doing research on relevant topics
  • Writing stories
  • Conducting interviews
  • Promoting our stories on social media

Profile:

  • Data journalism, first experience in writing articles, blogs or other but as minimum a proven interest in journalism
  • Native or near-native English (any other European language is a plus)
  • Solid knowledge of EU institutions, policies, legislation and procedures
