Project Managers – Conseil des Notariats de l’Union européenne

The Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE), as the official body representing the notarial profession in dealings with the European institutions, is seeking two Project Managers

The main responsibilities for these positons include activities relating to the management and implementation of Action Grants and of an Operating Grant in the field of cooperation in civil and commercial matters and in the field of judicial training.

Job description:

  • Implementation of several projects co-funded by the European Commission in the Justice sector: cooperation in civil and commercial matters, EU judicial training, professional networks
  • Maintaining technical relations with the European Commission
  • Working within the CNUE team and with the appointed coordinators on project management and all related work
  • Coordinating with partners in organising project deliverables
  • Maintaining regular contact with CNUE project partners and members of the project working structures
  • Preparing the project and budget implementation
  • Monitoring and/or revising individual budgets
  • Preparing the general budget and substantive reports
  • Ensuring compliance with European rules for project implementation
  • Overseeing CNUE expenditure linked to the project
  • Preparing interim and final reports on the project and budget implementation, preparing the cost claim at the end of the project
  • Working with accounting assistance to prepare the project audit
  • Preparing meetings in the context of projects
  • Participating in and coordinating content creation
  • Contributing to the writing of the project
  • Ensuring complementarity with other CNUE activities and linkage with internal decision-making processes

Profile:

  • University studies
  • Proven experience in management and implementation of European projects and perfect familiarity with the Commission’s rules on co-funding projects, especially the new Horizon 2020 framework, its budgetary rules and the day-to-day use of the ECAS platform
  • A legal background, knowledge of e-learning, understanding of IT application in the legal sector are advantageous
  • Knowledge of public procurement rules
  • Knowledge of project writing
  • Capacity to work in a multicultural context with partners and beneficiaries from several Member States
  • Essential IT skills: IT projects; ongoing relations with IT providers ensuring development, hosting, maintenance and understanding of IT solutions and quotes, etc.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and good knowledge of French
  • Organised and meticulous
  • Available from November 2020
