What we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Trainee Consultant specialised in communications and social media. The role has a strong communications-facing role, with excellent writing skills and in-depth knowledge about digital channels. An interest in healthcare, sustainability and a passion for good storytelling is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing and posting regularly on social media platforms and engaging a community.
  • Assisting with digital marketing communications content and assets creation.
  • Developing ideas for combining policy messages and innovative formats.
  • Supporting social media strategy and priorities, including tracking content performance and reviewing analytics.
  • Daily monitoring of on topics as needed.
  • Conducting background research and writing memos, event notes and issue briefs.
  • Drafting content for articles and newsletters.
  • Managing databases such as for traditional media and support with organizing events and press conferences.

Essential:

  • EU national or work permit holder.
  • A previous internship in communications and social media. Candidates without experience in this sector will not be considered.
  • Perfect command of English; additional language skills an asset.
  • Creativity and eagerness to explore new means of communication.
  • Passion for current developments in health and sustainability.
  • Strong presentation skills – ability to present information in a clear and visually appealing way.
  • Advanced knowledge of several social media channels.
  • Ability to work in a team, whilst at the same time carrying out own tasks independently and to agreed deadlines.
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment.
  • Proficient with IT and new media tools.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge about healthcare and environmental issues.
  • Internship in a communications or social media capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience with communications and advocacy on digital media platforms is a big plus – organising social media campaigns, community engagement.
  • Experience with working with media and drafting opinion articles.
